The unique thing about humans over the millennia is that by nature we are story tellers. From the beginning we recorded events in a visual way, such as cave drawings. As we evolved and began to use spoken tongue, our stories started to be passed along to the next generation. Then the written word was propagated by the invention of the printing press. Technology fueled the explosion of the written word in books and newsprint. The cultures of the world were propelled by a revolution of technology.
