When I was a kid, time seemed to pass by so slowly. After graduating from high school it is a constant surprise how quickly each year passes. When I hit my 20th birthday I decided to commemorate the occasion by getting my photo taken in a photo booth. I decided to start documenting myself every year around my birthday. What I'm wearing or how my hair looked reminds me of how much I've changed even though I still feel like I'm just turning 20. I guess it's a way of dealing with aging. A lot of my work and interests focus on the passage of time and reflect a certain unwillingness to let my childhood go. Even though photo booths are an endangered species in this digital age I hope to have a mural of photo booth photos documenting all the stages of my life.
