Something new at Atlantic Photo: the world of microscopes

For several years now I have fielded requests from customers about where they could find a microscope. I didn’t really have a good answer. Frankly, I did not know where to send them or at least not where to send them here in Halifax.

It wasn’t until this past Christmas that I gave it much further thought, but a phone call from a customer in New York City changed that. The call was from someone not looking for a microscope but a telescope. He wanted to buy it for his daughter and through the course of our conversation he mentioned that he had purchased a nice microscope for her the previous year and she loved it.

There are lots of kids out there with a love of science and who are being encouraged to spend less time watching TV and playing video games and more time exploring the world around us and above us by caring parents and teachers.

Over the next few weeks we will be adding a number of microscopes to our product offerings at Atlantic Photo. They will range from good, entry level scopes through to very nice binocular models. We will also have a selection of prepared and blank slides as well.

I’m not sure where all this is heading but at least now I will have an answer when someone asks me where they can buy a microscope.
